Alex Baylis is Head of Acute Sector Policy at the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and leads the development of CQC’s framework for regulating and inspecting acute hospitals and ambulances. He has worked in quality regulation of NHS and independent health care for several years.
Alex previously worked on health policy in the World Health Organisation and the Department of Health, and general management in NHS trusts.
