Elizabeth Bishop joined the Nuffield Trust in 2008. She has spent much of her career as a professional advisor on financial and investment matters for  not-for-profit organisations including the trustee boards of national charities and large occupational pension schemes.

Elizabeth has published books on investment theory and has a particular interest in trustee development and governance. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and has a degree in Mathematical Statistics  & Operational Research from Exeter University. Elizabeth holds the Diploma in Charity Accounting awarded by the ICAEW.
