Emma was a Senior Fellow with Responsibility for Special Projects at the Nuffield Trust and led the Secretariat for the Ratings Review commissioned by the Secretary of State for Health.
Emma joined the Trust from the Department of Health where she was a Senior Policy Advisor in the NHS Policy and Strategy Unit. Prior to this, Emma worked on a variety of high-profile policy areas as part of the Civil Service Fast Stream Programme including integrated care and the development of the new public health reforms (including responsibility for the public health provisions in the Health and Social Care Act 2012).
Emma started her career on the NHS Management Graduate scheme with placements at Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and NHS Bournemouth and Poole. Emma has a BA in Spanish and Portuguese, MA in Human Resources Management and is a registered Prince 2 Practitioner.
