Helen Parker has had a clinical, managerial and academic career in health care spanning 30 years.

For the past four years, Helen supported the development of 'Super Partnerships', a new organisational model for general practice in the West Midlands. Alongside this, she worked as part of the Nuffield Trust’s policy team, focusing on research and development related to emerging models of primary and integrated care.

From 2014-2016, Helen is living in New Zealand, working with the Midlands Health Network and leading the implementation of the Primary Care Medical Home model of care across a network of general practices in the Midlands region. She continues to take part in comparative research work across the UK and New Zealand, through her role as senior visiting fellow.

Previously, Helen has been Senior Fellow and Co-Director at the Health Services Management Centre, University of Birmingham, with a particular interest in new provider models and integrated care. Helen's NHS career included nursing posts in hospital and community settings and managing community provider services.

Helen has a first degree in Community Health and a Masters degree in Primary Care Policy and Management from the University of Birmingham.
