Hugh McCaughey is the Chief Executive of the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust. He is a Non Executive member of the Skills for Health Board, Chair of the Patient Safety Forum and Chair of the Northern Ireland Cancer Network. Hugh is a Board Member of the Chief Executives’ Forum and a member of the Business Committee of CEF.
Hugh has experience in a range of Health and Social Care leadership positions and has a particular interest and passion in quality improvement and promoting safer care.
Hugh is a former Council member of Sport NI and chaired the Sports Institute, Northern Ireland, which is responsible for the development of some of Northern Ireland’s best athletes from 2005-2008. He is married to Shirley and has three children, Ross, Tori and Ben.
