Natalia Calanzani is a health services researcher with a background in psychology and international business. She has been a researcher at the Cicely Saunders Institute, King's College London, since February 2010, working with Professor Irene Higginson and Dr Barbara Gomes in a long-term research programme to discover ways of enabling patients to die in the place of their choice.

Before joining the Cicely Saunders Institute she undertook research on psychological evaluation, occupational health psychology and employee relations.

In addition to peer-reviewed publications, Natalia has written evidence-based reports about local preferences for place of death (published by the National End of Life Care Intelligence Network, now part of Public Health England), current and future needs for hospice care (published by Help the Hospices) and palliative and end of life care for black, asian, and minority ethnic (BAME) groups (to be published by Public Health England and Marie Curie Cancer Care).
