Past fellowships

The Nuffield Trust has previously awarded Travelling & Visiting Fellowships for medical students to visit the UK from Tanzania or Cuba  to study aspxects of health care systems in other countries, or for UK students from University College London Medical School  to visit the exchange countries. 

With the IHM and the RCN, the Trust has in the past awarded a Joint Travel Award. which provided an opportunity for healthcare managers and nurses to undertake joint study tours, within the UK or overseas, with the aim of  “jointly improving the patient experience.”

The Trust was instrumental in setting up the Howard Goodman Fellowship  in 2004, and has also collaborated with the Foundation for Human Potential , to provide opportunities for overseas visits for health care providers.
