Diane Gray, M.B. B.S., a 2010-11 Harkness Fellow  in Health Care Policy and Practice, is director of strategy and planning and deputy director of public health at NHS Milton Keynes. She also works as a public health consultant, and private sector clients include PricewaterhouseCoopers and the BMJ Group.

Prior to her current position, Gray served as a consultant in public health medicine to Milton Keynes NHS Primary Care Trust, and as specialist registrar in public health medicine at Oxford Deanery. Gray has also served as member of the Costings External Reference Group, NICE, and member of the South Central Strategic Health Authority "Staying Healthy" Clinical Pathway Group for the "Our NHS, Our Future" review.

Gray holds a M.Sc. in public health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and an M.B. B.S. from St. Mary's Hospital Medical School. She also holds a M.A. in natural sciences from Christ's College, University of Cambridge, where she was awarded the William Grieg prize for Natural Sciences.
