Our Health Policy Summit 2012 (29 February - 1 March) provided a forum for health care experts to assess evidence and experience from home and abroad, and to discuss and explore solutions to the challenges facing the NHS now and in the future.

This year, for the first time and supported by the British Medical Journal, we live streamed three sessions from the Summit, which were available to watch for free:

• Rt Hon Andrew Lansley CBE MP, Secretary of State for Health
  Rt Hon Andrew Lansley CBE MP delivered a keynote address.

• Dr Devi Shetty, Chairman and Managing Director, Narayana Hrudayalaya, India
  Dr Shetty presented via a live link from India on how to achieve high-quality care at lower cost, highlighting the innovative approaches he and his team have adopted as part of their mission to make health care affordable to the masses in third world countries.

• Geoff Mulgan, Chief Executive, NESTA
  Geoff Mulgan discussed how improvements in care and enterprise and innovation can be driven.
