In this important study, a sequel to The State of Communicable Disease Law, Dr Stephen Monaghan, with co-authors Dyfed Huws and Marie Navarro, makes the case for a UK-wide Health of the People Act and examines various possible models for a new Health of the People Commission. The proposed role of the new commission would be to give and publish independent advice to government, both central and devolved.
