The Nuffield Trust’s second Annual Health Strategy Summit brought together UK and international health leaders to examine how the NHS should respond as it enters a period of rising demand and unprecedented economic uncertainty.

The Summit analysed the strategic, clinical and managerial issues confronting health leaders in three key related areas – efficiency, integrated care and competition – and provided new insights into improving health care at this critical stage in the NHS reform agenda.

Dr Judith Smith, Director of Policy at the Nuffield Trust, presents at Session 4 of the Annual Health Strategy Summit 2010. The title of the session was ‘Integrated Care: the route to system sclerosis, or the future?’
