Thomas Lee, Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at Harvard School of Public Health, outlines the key ambitions of the Affordable Care Act, considering what these changes mean for hospitals and health professionals. He goes on to describe how hospitals in the US are coping with the objective of reducing costs and improving patient outcomes while boosting success and driving innovation.
