Question asked: ‘All in all, how satisfied or dissatisfied would you say you are with the way in which the National Health Service runs nowadays?’
* No contact by the respondent or their family and friends.

**The question on contact with inpatient services was asked of a random third of the sample. This smaller group had a lower level of satisfaction overall than the full sample: 63% in 2016 and 52% in 2017. Error bars show the 95% confidence interval for each data point.
