The number of GPs per 100,000 population

Data are for headcount of fully qualified, permanent GPs. Levels of GPs in training (registrars), retainers and locums, which are excluded, will vary between countries, as will the degree of part-time working, which also affects capacity. Comparisons across years should be treated with caution due to changes in methodology and, for England specifically, the data to 2009 is not directly comparable to 2010 onwards.
