Adam Micklethwaite is Director of Business and Innovation at Tinder Foundation, a UK staff-led charity that helps the most vulnerable in society to engage with technology and use it to improve their lives. Tinder Foundation works with a network of over 5,000 community partners across the UK to deliver digital literacy programmes with significant impact on skills and employability, health and wellbeing, financial inclusion, and literacy and numeracy. Since 2010, Tinder Foundation has helped 1.8 million people in the UK, and has a target to help a further 2 million people by 2020.

Adam leads Tinder Foundation’s business development, marketing and research functions, using innovation and expertise to increase the organisation’s scale and depth of impact. He is passionate about finding new ways to combine cutting edge digital technology and community-based support to deliver solutions that change people’s lives, working across the private, public and third sectors.

Before joining Tinder Foundation, Adam was a senior civil servant in the UK Government, leading policy and delivery for enterprise and small business support in the UK Department for Business, Innovation and Skills. Prior to this, he worked across a variety of Government policy areas in lifelong learning and skills, launching the UK National Careers Service and implementing the first ever system of student loans in UK Further Education.
