Mike is the Clinical Lead for the RCGP’s GP at Scale and QI Ready Programmes. He graduated in 1995 and completed Vocational Training in York in 2002. He has been a partner at Haxby Group since 2002 and has been part of the team that has helped the practice to grow and diversify – it now cares for 50,000 patients across the cities of York and Hull holding both primary care and community pharmacy contracts. He is a GP with an extended role in Vasectomy delivering the service for two neighbouring CCGs. He is the Chair of Nimbus Care Ltd – a multi-practice organisation caring for 130,000 patients working to deliver health care as part of a Primary Care Home model in the City of York.

Mike has interests in clinical leadership and development of the workforce in primary care. He is currently a GP member of the Health Education England’s LETB in the North and is leading the development of Advanced Clinical Practitioners at the LWAB in the Humber Coast and Vale STP. He part of the core group at NHS Collaborate – a movement focused on supporting GP leaders working at scale (www.NHSCollaborate.org). He has previously held the post of Associate Medical Director for Hull CCG and is currently a board member of the RCGP’s Humber and the Ridings Faculty representing them on RCGP Council.
