As Human Resources Manager, Joan is responsible for supporting the Trust’s permanent members of staff, as well as the freelances, consultants, interns and contractors who provide services to it. She is part of the Trust’s Finance and Administration team.
Joan joined the Trust in June 2017 after a long and varied career in people management, in both the public and private sectors. Her first post was at the Bank of England printing works, which produces all of Britain’s banknotes, after which she held roles at organisations as diverse as the Science Museum, the Scout Association or the pharmaceutical industry. More recently she worked as HR Manager at Age UK Camden.
Joan is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), and holds qualifications in health and safety, and in psychometric and occupational testing.
Joan left the Trust in November 2017.
