Mike Curtis joined the NHS from University in 1987 as a graduate financial management trainee, completing his accountancy qualification three years later. Hands-on financial roles followed in NHS Trusts, Department of Health and Strategic Health Authorities. Mike has also worked as a Management Consultant with Price Waterhouse. Mike spent several years overseas, for the World Health Organisation (WHO) on health system reform, and for the Department for International Development in South East Asia. Mike has a Master’s degree in health management and planning. Mike became Local Director for Health Education England in 2014.
