Moira Fraser  is Director Policy, Public Affairs and Campaigns at Macmillan Cancer Support.

Moira joined Macmillan this year, focusing on ensuring the organisation’s  influencing work meets the needs of increasingly devolved policy making in health and care, as well as responding to the changing needs of people affected by cancer.

She has 14 years experience in health, disability and care in voluntary sector policy and campaigns work. In her previous role as Director of Policy at Carer's Trust, she led the organisation to influence the Care Act to improve rights to assessment and support for unpaid family carers. As chair of the National Young Carers Coalition she played a key role in securing amendments to the Children and Families Act 2015, giving young carers legal rights to assessment and support for the first time.

She has previously held roles at RNIB and Mind and has a background in psychology and educational research.
