Richard Gleave is Chief Operating Officer for Public Health England. He has recently returned from a Harkness/Health Foundation Fellowship when he spent a year in the US looking at performance improvement in integrated health care systems. He was previously Director of Performance at the Department and has spent 18 years working as hospital manager in the NHS.
