Tara is the Nuffield Trust’s Senior Independent Director. She was the Chief Digital Officer for NHS England from 2019-2023 and now leads Digital Care, supporting work that is transforming health and care through the use of innovative digital tools.
Tara’s career has spanned a range of NHS leadership roles across London including Director of Operations at the Whittington Hospital, Managing Director roles at University College London Hospitals and Chief Executive of the West Middlesex University Hospital. Her second NHS Chief Executive role was of the Health Innovation Network, south London.
She is President of the Health CEOs' Club, and her prior Trustee experience includes ten years on the Board of Macmillan Cancer Support.
