The report is based on Sir George's visits to several medical schools, royal colleges, and faculties. Undergraduate and postgraduate medical education has separately been the subject of numerous inquiries.
In this survey Sir George has not only analaysed the respective roles and purposes of undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education but also has sought to look at the question as a whole.
