Throughout our environment we are surrounded by a great number of different organisms. From time to time some do cause us harm.
Infections no longer plague us the way they did. Individual infections may disappear from certain areas but infections as a whole cannot be abolished, they can only be held in check, and over much of the globe they still have to be reduced to a bearable low incidence.
