Supplementary Submission to the Health Committee inquiry on the impact of the Spending Review

This supplementary submission to the Health Committee’s Spending Review inquiry draws on the Nuffield Trust’s own research, and lays out our analysis on the issues of NHS trust financing, system efficiency and the quality of care. It is intended to accompany our joint submission with The King’s Fund and the Health Foundation, which presents our shared understanding of the distribution of funding over the Spending Review period; the basic efficiency challenge; cuts to non-NHS England budgets; social care funding; and access to care.
