The 2014 Summit provided an opportunity to hear and question the latest evidence and analysis on:
- Quality: the key concern − what progress had been made following the major reports from Robert Francis QC, Professor Don Berwick and Professor Sir Bruce Keogh, and what were the tensions between clinical and patient perspectives?
- Living with less: austerity will last for the rest of the decade − how can providers and commissioners respond and how can problems with reconfiguration and the failure regime be resolved?
- Changing services: services will be delivered differently − where is the innovation in health here and abroad? What are the lessons from criminal justice and local government and how can patients and the public be mobilised in support?
