The Summit is the Nuffield Trust’s annual flagship event. It brings together a diverse range of NHS, social care and policy leaders, disruptors and innovators to discuss how health and care systems should respond to current and future challenges, engaging in new thinking and developing ideas that can make health and social care better. 

In its eighteenth year, the 2026 Summit provided a platform for policy makers and contributors to debate health and care priorities and challenges. The event centered on the theme of trust, explored through a range of topics including misinformation in health and healthcare, moral distress in leadership, the shift from 'hospital to home', the NHS workforce, and social care reform.
