Increased demand, staff burnout and deteriorating patient experience are threatening the stability of general practice. With frustration around access to appointments sitting at the heart of low public satisfaction with the NHS, we felt that this was the right time to take a closer look at what the problems are within general practice, and what are the lessons to learn from them.
