Our Senior Associates are people who are considerably respected in their field and have a demonstrable track record in either policy analysis, research, or management in health care or a related field. Such individuals are invited on behalf of the Board of Trustees to become a Senior Associate of the Nuffield Trust for a period of three years, a tenure which is potentially renewable.
Senior Associates are not formally employed by the Nuffield Trust; they are not based at the Nuffield Trust's offices; and they do not speak on behalf of the organisation.
Their main role and purpose is to advise the Nuffield Trust on its strategic direction and opportunities in the short, medium and longer term. They may be invited to join advisory groups to projects undertaken by the Nuffield Trust, to peer review publications, or to speak at events.
