Some people, including disabled and elderly people, can find websites difficult to use because of the way they are designed and built, or the nature of the products on offer. The Nuffield Trust is committed to providing services that are helpful to users of all abilities and disabilities.
Our website has been built to conform to WCAG 2.0 level AA, and WCAG 2.0 level AAA wherever possible. Our colour palette has been specifically to support those who are colour blind to distinguish colours.
There is a lot of interactive content, however, for which there may be lower conformance. Transcripts of audio and video content can be requested if not already available to download from the relevant page. Please contact us via email to find out if an alternative format for a piece of content is available.
Guidance on using this website
You can use your browser to set the text size, which can normally be done via the browser's ‘Settings’, ‘View’ or ‘Page’ menu: go to 'View'/’Page’, choose 'Text size' or ‘Zoom’, and alter the settings according to your preferences. This can also be done via your keyboard, by selecting ‘Ctrl’ and ‘+’ or ‘– ‘, or ‘Cmd’ and ‘+’ or ‘–’ for Mac users. And with a keyboard and mouse combination, hold 'Ctrl' (for a PC) or 'Cmd' (for Mac) and use the scroll wheel on the mouse to zoom in and out.
Some of the information on our website is available to view or download in Portable Document Format (PDF). You may need Adobe Acrobat Reader to read PDF files, which can be downloaded for free from the Adobe website.
