The Nuffield Trust, in partnership with academic experts at the Universities of Oxford, Sheffield and Michigan held this roundtable to explore the implications of Brexit for health across the UK. Our aim was to establish a structure and function to monitor the changes that occur, raise awareness and help policymakers and leaders in health and social care to understand and respond to them. We plan to publish a report highlighting the key issues before the end of the year.
A central part of our project is understanding how leaving the European Union will affect the particular responsibilities and powers of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland in relation to health.
