Buddying support systems in prisons: how do they work, and what could be improved?

Many adult prisoners need help with daily tasks, and in some cases prison ‘buddies’ help others with things like cleaning cells and collecting meals. But up until now, there's been no research looking into how widespread it is, whether it's effective, and how we should measure that. An NIHR-funded evaluation by the Rapid Service Evaluation Team of researchers from UCL, Nuffield Trust and University of Cambridge looked into these issues.
