The staff and trustees of the Nuffield Trust are deeply saddened by the news of the death of our trustee Professor Tim Evans.
Paying tribute, Nuffield Trust Chair Andy McKeon said:
“Tim was an outstanding doctor, healthcare leader and thinker. His contribution to the provision of evidence-based healthcare in the UK has undoubtedly improved the lives of countless patients and contributed towards making the NHS a better, more efficient and more compassionate place to work. Many people within the NHS and beyond have benefited from Tim’s kindness and tremendous contribution to healthcare.
“We were very lucky to have Tim’s knowledge, expertise and wisdom as a member of the Nuffield Trust board for the past four years. His death leaves a huge gap. We will be thinking of his family at this very sad time.”
