Dr Rosie Benneyworth is the Director of Strategic Clinical Services Transformation for Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group and is responsible for developing and implementing a joint commissioning strategy with the local authority. Rosie has been a GP for 15 years in Somerset, working as a principal, salaried and sessional GP during that time. She is currently Vice Chair of the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE), and oversees the NICE appeals process in this role, having previously been a NICE Fellow and involved in guideline development. Her previous roles include Managing Director of the South West Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) where she was Vice Chair of the National AHSN network and also led the Patient Safety Collaboratives. Rosie has also held many clinical leadership roles, particularly leading service redesign and improvement programmes.
