Robert Ede left government in July 2024, having served as Special Adviser to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care since November 2022. During his time in the Department, Robert was involved in policy initiatives including the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan, the NHS Productivity Plan and the Tobacco and Vapes Bill.
Robert now works for Eli Lilly. His contribution here is in a personal capacity.
Robert has a decade’s experience in health care policy, working in the consultancy sector and at the think tank Policy Exchange. In 2021, he served as Prize Director for the Wolfson Economics Prize on the subject of hospital design. He has degrees from the University of Oxford and the University of Exeter.
