Samira has over 25 experience NHS experience leading on Community Development, Patient Experience, Health Improvement and Equality. She founded the Community Champions Programme in North West London; and over the past 5 years she has worked closely with the Grenfell Community to facilitate local conversations; promote and advocate on behalf of and amplify (nationally and locally) the voices of families and the community affected by the Grenfell Disaster. Samira was awarded the HSJ Top 50 Emerging Leaders as part of the BME Pioneer Award.
She is an Associate at Kaleidoscope Health and Care, a member of the King’s Fund General Advisory Council, and a regular presenter on their Leadership for Population Health Programme. Samira also contributes regularly to London South Bank University (Health System Innovation Lab) Darzi Fellowship Programme on co-production, and community collaboration.
